Who we are

Postcard Pending is a travel blog published at postcardpending.com. The site is run by [your full name or company name], based in [country]. For anything in this policy, write to hello@postcardpending.com.

What we collect

• What you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name and whatever you write, such as travel dates, destination and the number of travellers. The form on our Contact page opens your own mail app. It does not store anything on this website.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps server logs with your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the visit.
• Cookies. Small files stored in your browser. See section 06.

We do not ask for payment details, passport data or any other sensitive information, and you should not send them to us by email.

Why we use it

• To reply to your message and help you plan a route. Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in answering it.
• To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
• To remember your cookie choice. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interest.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising profiles or make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

Only with the services we need to run the site and answer you:

• our hosting provider, [hosting company name], which stores the website and its logs;
• our email provider, [email provider name], which delivers and stores our mail.

These companies process data on our behalf. Some of them may store data outside your country. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Our guides link to hotels, transport companies, museums and other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for how they handle your data. Read their own privacy policies before you book or sign up.

Children

This site is written for adults planning trips. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will add a notice on the site.
